The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter enters 2014 with a new front end design that echoes its more athletic Mercedes automobile cousins, with an attractive, upright grille, revised headlights, and more pronounced contours to the hood. A new 2.1L 4-cylinder BlueTEC turbo diesel engine is now standard. It produces 161 horsepower and 265 ft-lb of torque, with maximum torque available from 1, 400 rpm and is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The diesel V6 carries on unchanged. New available accident avoidance systems include Collision Prevention Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Highbeam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.
