Losing weight can be a big challenge, requiring hard work, dedication and in a lot of cases sacrifice (No wine and no chocolate?!) However losing weight doesn’t have to be all about drastic change, you can make small changes to your lifestyle which can make a huge difference to how you feel when you wake up. We have put together a list of 8 things you can do to lose some weight this week without having to make any major changes to your lifestyle!

Drink More Water
8 is the magic number for the amount of glasses of water you should consume each day. By drinking more water it reduces the amount you eat due to you feeling fuller. If you consume a glass of water first thing in the morning, it is said to increase your metabolic rate by around 30 percent helping you with losing weight too.
Stop the Fizzy Drinks
The recommended amount of sugar intake each day is: Men 150 calories per day (37.5 grams or 9 teaspoons). Women: 100 calories per day (25 grams or 6 teaspoons). On average 1 can of coke has 39g which is straight away over the daily recommended amount. By reducing just one can a day will certainly help will your weight loss!
Drink Less Alcohol
As with fizzy drinks, alcohol contains plenty of sugar and calories which really doesn’t help with your weight loss – even one small glass an evening can make a big difference. Why not give Dry January a go? And after that just limit drinking to the weekends, then not only will you really appreciate that glass of wine on Friday after work, but you will quickly see the difference.
Exercise during the ads
Tv ads are the perfect opportunity to try get some added exercise to your daily routine. Try some crunches, jumping jacks, lunges or anything to get active during the five minute ad, instead of sitting down and waiting. This will help burn those extra calories to get your waistline down.
Eat your food slowly
Take smaller mouthfuls and chew for longer. By doing this it will not only go down easier and digest. It will also allow for your brain to process that you are full before going in for more helping with losing weight.
Make the most of your lunch break
Your lunch break is the perfect opportunity to get some exercise in. Take a walk around the block or get your running shoes and take a run. 15 minutes around the block everyday will add up to help take that fat away.
Go to bed earlier
Getting your 7-9 hours sleep a day is key to living a healthy life style. Not only does it aid with repair and recovery but it also keeps your cortisol levels correct as well as stopping you snacking in the night.
Eat a High Protein Breakfast
Protein fills you up (More than carbs) by eating a high protein breakfast you will be full enough that you won’t snack during the day. Eggs, nuts, peanut butter are are a great place to start however there are so many option to choose from.
