The Rotary Club of Arcata and North Bay Rotaract will host the Humboldt Wine Festival March 17 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Humboldt State University in the Kate Buchanan Room.
Admission tickets are $40, which includes meeting local wine and cider makers and tasting the wines and ciders of Humboldt and Trinity counties while dining on a wide selection of locally sourced gourmet treats.
There will also be a wine lovers raffle, with tickets available for $20 each or six for $100.
Prizes include a flight and up to 10 nights stay for two at two different locations in Costa Rice. A Dutch raffle will also take place as well a variety of wine-themed games.
Proceeds from this event help fund community service projects, such as renovations of Arcata playgrounds, the Arcata High School Career Center, dictionaries
for third-graders, high school scholarships, high school youth exchange, the senior Thanksgiving luncheon, the International Trinidad-Costa Rica micro-loans partnership, Rotary International polio eradication and more.
